A medical malpractice lawsuit has been filed against an Atlanta surgeon being blamed for the significant spinal cord injury suffered by one of his patients. Duane Cox sought relief for his back pain from Havinder Bhatti, MD of Atlanta Spine, and in February 2018 the doctor performed surgery meant to alleviate that pain. Unfortunately, the surgery resulted in permanent neurological injuries to the patient. Cox has filed a medical malpractice lawsuit seeking compensation for the damages that he’s suffered.
Patricia Jones entered Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York for minimally invasive spine surgery, but she left with a spinal cord injury that left her a quadriplegic. Ten years later a New York jury awarded her $55.9 million in compensation.
